New York City Photo Trip Report – Part 3
Wild Bill's Dark Ride Paradise

August 6, 2012

Today, they allow us to peek in at some of the works used to raise and lower the head - neat!

With the power down, the head was stationary, but damn, that is one big clown head.

Some more detail from artwork further along the side of the building: That right there is a Pretzel dark ride car and you'll be seeing these back in action for real here soon. CAN I GET A HALLELUJAH, BROTHERS AND SISTERS?!

I do believe that this is a portrait of the artist as a clown, Chuck Burnham himself.

I love this fortune teller; she's eerie!

Boy, this Frankenstein monster reminds me of someone... BUT WHO????

Young folk won't remember the "custom van" craze of the 1970s, but had I been old enough to own and drive a van back then, I so would have wanted to have this kick-ass Grim Reaper painted on the side. FREAKIN' SWEET.
