West Coast Bash 2012 - Knott's Berry Farm, Day Two
March 4, 2012

The Season Pass' Doug and Shannon and very few other people, waiting patiently to enjoy one of the best coasters in California. Some would argue the best steel coaster in the state, for sure.

That damned launch is in-freaking-sane, each and every time.

A tremendous thrill during daylight hours, and even better after dark. Super 78's Brent (and Season Pass co-host) and I rode that night and it was his first Xceleration. That was fun to witness; there was a lot of coarse language. He loved it.

And the cherry rolling stock, so fabulous. Now that it looks like the green supports have all been repainted, I guess they'll tackle the coral pink track, but honestly, I kind of like it as is. The semi-gloss/matte contrast isn't bad at all.

And GhostRider was okay. Sitting in the middle of the train, and not over any wheels, it's tolerable. To think what is was back in the day, though...

Lunch was a hearty affair with lots of chicken, ribs, all kinds of yummy treats. The post-meal entertainment of TPR Quest was, predictably, very entertaining and Knott's supplied some fantastic prizes for the winners.
