
So one of the things we learned that day was that the "story" of the attraction was modified to fold it into the whole area better. It's now the Calico Logging Company working on Timber Mountain. Very nice.

From the outside, everything looked wonderful. As the afternoon wore on, we waited and hoped...

Hey, look, one of the new Garner Hold animatronics, moving around and stuff!

It was almost torturous to watch him in action, steam coming out of the still up there... it really was on the verge of opening...

And then, miraculously, Doug and I got an impromptu tour inside the mountain. And everything we saw in there was fantastic. Those big berries above? They are oversized boysenberries, crafted so that they would be easier to see in the dark.

Here's one of the new show scenes. The animatronics, the lighting, the audio, all of it is marvelous.
