Orlando 2011 Trip Report
Nov. 22, 2011

Here's Caroline chatting with Donkey. ADORABLE. The "live action animatronic" is a hoot and the actor that morning did a thoroughly acceptable Eddie Murphy impression. Very funny, and very much in the spirit of the character. I recommend this even if you don't have small children to entertain. Just watching the random kiddies interact with Donkey, wide-eyed with starstruck awe, is a great show in itself.

New credit time!!!!!

You've likely heard both good and bad about Hollywood Rip, Ride, Rockit, but you'll hear nothing but good from me. This coaster, even without the tunage, would still be a favorite, but with the music? It's phenomenal.

I couldn't care less about the "make your own video" aspect of the ride. I don't have the looks for it and wouldn't spend the money even if I did. But everything else is the shiznit.

The moving-light-show rolling stock, the vertical lift, the massive non-inverting loop, the many severe drops, the whipper-snapper turns, so sweet. And while this is an aggressive ride, I never experienced any of the "roughness" I've read about.
Now, I did have trouble getting a particular track locked in before my first ride started - derp - but the default selection is The Crystal Method's "Busy Child" which I might very well have chosen anyway.

Get busy, child!

Throbbing beats, piercing electronic riffs, shredding the air as we fall, funked up!
