Orlando 2011 Trip Report
Nov. 22, 2011

After the Hunt, we did check out some of the real animals quickly.

Elephant vortex... impossible... TO RESIST!

Let me take this moment to recommend one of my favorite books ever: "Eyelids of Morning." It's all about crocodiles and it has some of the best nature photography ever. And there's a picture in it that haunts me to this day, a black and white image of the remains of someone eaten by one of these monsters. Those remains are in a small cardboard box and there's not much in there. Crocs, and gators, they are scary mofos, straight up.

Demon-Squirrel says, "I derail trains for kicks."

Part of our HOS package included the "Fright Feast" buffet beforehand, and verily, it was a feast. I can't even remember what all we ate, but the tacos stood out.

Demon-Baby says, "Please enjoy your meal! Oh, and don't mind Demon-Squirrel... he can't derail a train of thought..."

After the meal, there was a show, which was okay. There was a "Sarah Palin" in it, as there was in the Bill and Ted show at Uni. Both Palins were pretty hot. (Again, for more detail on the two haunt nights, please listen to the Season Pass 2011 "Halloween Madness" podcast.)

I'm not sure what kind of creature this was supposed to be, but there were plenty like it all over the Gardens that night. Neato!
