LA County Fair Trip Report
Sept. 19, 2010

It was fortunate we didn't hit this dark ride until last because, short as it was, it delivered the scares, finally. (BTW, any place that has three dark rides, even crappy ones, is aces.)

They really spooked up the exterior, too. Low-budget charm is still charm.

Audrey wasn't too sure about this one; even the props outside gave her some nervous giggles. But trooper that she is, she came along.

Elm St., Amityville, herpderp...

So... what exactly makes this slide "euro?" Dunno. But it was enjoyable. (Also, euroslide.com is for sale).

We promised the kids they could play some games before we left, so we made our way back to what appeared to be "Game Street."

Here they are all lined up with a bunch of young gamers.

And all of them nabbed some cool prizes. Here's Audrey with her elephant...

...Brian with his bling-encrusted dragon...

...and Parker rocking the rad, flame-dolphin!

Oh, and they won some snakes somewhere, too. Well done, kids!

We didn't see any shows, other than the dog thing, but for those who are interested, there are plenty of concerts during the fair, including...

...dreamy Rick Springfield! ...Who appears to be trying to fool us into thinking he's Prince... (Wow, sudden thought: you know what would kick ass? If Prince covered "Jessie's Girl," but do it all slow, funky, totally sexed-up... that would so kick ass.)

We will! See you next year!
