New York City Photo Trip Report – Part 4
The High Line

August 20, 2012

I'll bet over the years we'll be seeing more and more little artful surprises on High Line-adjacent structures.

Just a mid-point staircase, but beautifully designed, I thought.

Purple has long been one of my favorite colors, so this part of The High Line earned huge bonus points.

SO RIGHTEOUS.

There were some food vendors in here, selling snacky, lunchy stuff like tacos, and also People Pops, which were delicious.

The High Line only crosses over a north-south avenue once (for now), but where it does, there's a sort of sunken mini-amphitheater that faces a big glass window overlooking the traffic. You can just sit and watch the endless parade of vehicles and their stop-and-go light show.

Back up at the north end, they really showcase some of the big honkin' girders that support the line.
