New York City Photo Trip Report – Part 4
The High Line

This particular stretch is a steel bridge that rises above the old train tracks. Super-cool at night, with the plants all lit from beneath... You can look through the mesh steel of the bridge to see the tracks below, too.

Incredibly wicked.

It also passes by this huge brick smokestack or silo or something.

And there are a few little cul de sac "wings" with benches...

...that are also underlit after dark; so nice. (You can see a bit of the tracks on the left.)

I'm not sure what purpose this steel-clad edifice serves (residential? commercial? both?), but it made for another halt-you-in-your-tracks landmark on the stroll.

Unusual, right?
