(Speaking of rain, during one brief downpour, we ducked beneath a theater marquee, and looked up to see this quote by Dolly Parton, Appalachian Philosopher.)

Presently, Dollywood is hosting the "Premiere Exhibition" of the NRCM and if this is still around when you next visit, and you're even the slightest smidge of a coaster dork, (oh, come on, admit it, OWN it), then do check it out.

Dollywood's Pete Owens (on the left, with Doug) gave us a comprehensive guided stroll through the show. Here are a few highlights:

There are a number of informative panels and Arrow is honored with lots of well-deserved wall space; this one is just the first of a series.

Detailed models impress the hell out of me, and this one, of the Crystal Beach Cyclone, is especially wicked.

I can't even begin to wrap my mind around the engineering that goes into building a whole roller coaster. Look at the thickness of these books, and they're just the "JD" and "F" sheets, whatever that means.

The host park gets some love.
