Terror Tram: Invaded by The Walking Dead

Seeing as how Brent was an HHN noob, we went for the Terror Tram first, as it tends to be light, generally, on the terror. He's all, "Oh, look, I'm SO SCARED!" in the photo above, but he later admitted that he really was pretty scared. Shannon and Doug, smiling next to him, they know he's "kidding on the square."

As soon as the tram dropped us off, we got right into some Walking Dead action. You can't go wrong with zombies, and there were plenty of zombies here, but they were far outnumbered by non-zombies and that's usually what keeps the first part of the Terror Tram walk from being potently frightening. Still, zombies.

Once you start the walk up the hillside into the darkness, the crowds thin and the sound effects work their atmospheric magic. Getting better. And the descent back down towards the Psycho House that takes us through some survivor campsites and past zombie cages, I remember doing a fair amount of screaming there. Very nice.

If you've never walked through the War of the Worlds plane crash set, this final portion of the Terror Tram experience will blow your mind. Even if this is not new for you, you'll still dig it a lot because it seems they've stocked it extra thick with bodies, body parts and miscellaneous viscera, in keeping with the whole "Walking Dead" aesthetic. I could be wrong, but I don't remember it ever being this bloody and gruesome. Yummy!

The Terror Tram will never be my favorite thing at a Halloween Horror Night event, but this one was highly acceptable. And Brent survived with dignity (mostly) intact. Well done, Brent!
