Knott's Scary Farm Halloween Haunt 2011 Report
Sept. 29, 2011

We also walked onto Silver Bullet, and we're both still alittle dumbfounded by some of the lackluster reviews of this coaster. The first drop is pretty weak, admittedly, but everything else is quite delectable, especially the final spiral. I don't grey out or anything, but I'm plenty dizzy on the way out of the station. (If they'd only just paint the damned thing silver already.)

After riding Cedar Point's WindSeeker, we felt we simply had to conquer the West Coast version, so with gritted teeth, we got in line. (A big thumbs up to Knotts for giving this one a distinctive South of the Border theme.)

Three hundred feet up. Madness.

That moment when we start to rise, that "no turning back" moment, is just awful.

But it's really pretty amazing once you reach the peak; the view of the park from those heights is astonishing. The next time I ride one of these, it won't be nearly as bad. I think.

Had a late afternoon snack at Pink's. Mmmm, I love me a good, snappy-casing hot dog. There is, however, too much of a good thing. " 'Da Big Pink" is too much of a good thing, and then some.
